Book Week 8th - 12th June 2015

Find out what the classes thought about their learning during book week activities:

Class 1 - "We enjoyed dressing up as a book character. We enjoyed making a dance about the Wild Things. The story trails were good because we could use instruments.  Liam particularly enjoyed the obstacles on the Bear Hunt trail".

Class 2 - "We enjoyed all the story trails around our grounds and we loved working with a real West-End dancer.  We made pirate characters and stories, we read lots of books and loved sharing them".

Class 3 - "We really enjoyed sharing books with children in other classes. We also had fun acting out the Wild Things, the music helped us get into different roles. The story trails were really exciting because we had to hunt for clues and use props and instruments to tell the stories with".

Class 4 - "We have loved reading and sharing our favourite books. We especially enjoyed the story trails and finding clues. Ewan said he liked acting out the stories using props. Class 4 enjoyed acting out the story of the Hungry Caterpillar through drama and dance".

Nursery - "We were very excited about the story trails and have been doing ours and telling the story all week. When the children returned from the Bear Hunt they were telling everyone about the journey! The Hungry Caterpillar workshop was also fantastic".

Class 2 won the Pirate Readers Challenge with the most children in their class reading on a night, but it was a close run competition! Well done everyone, please keep up the challenge!

The Book Cover Competition was won by Brody, Eleanor, Lexie and Ella.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Book Fair. There was a fantastic range of books and the 3 for 2 offer was amazing. Thank you for your generosity, school will be able to buy new books for the children at school.
